HP Omen 15t
One of the latest HP’ jewels is the HP Omen 15t Gaming Laptop. The design on the front is made all out of plastic but has a nice carbon fiber finish and a specially designed logo to it. Taking a look at the interior we have a nice-looking red backlit keyboard, based on the full width of the laptop. The keys have good travel distance except for the up and down keys which are kind of small. Followed by the display which is 15,6″ anti-glare, Full HD (UHD also possible), IPS with a nice matte finish. It has very good contrast, color accuracy, and brightness, though not perfect for photo and video editors but excellent for gaming. In terms of connectivity, HP Omen 15t has all the ports like HDMI and USB 3.0 but it does not have USB type-C.
HP Omen 15t is a budget gaming laptop including the powerful Intel Core i7 7700HQ quad-core processor and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (Notebook) gaming graphics card. Also with 4GB GDDR5, 256 GB SSD + 1TB 7200rpm Hard Disk Drive and 16GB of DDR4 RAM (max 32GB). Having these specs you will be able to play smoothly all the latest games on high settings at full HD resolution. On full load, this laptop heats up to 54°C mostly on the right side. The temperature of the CPU on stress test reaches 84°C and of the GPU – 74°C. Audio system doesn’t produce a quality sound but it is laptop audio after all. Trackpad performs well though it’s made out of plastic, not glass.
The battery runtime is increased significantly. Twelve hours while idling is almost a long-distance runner in the gaming segment. Under maximum, load the lights go off after only 97 minutes, however. The HP Omen 15t manages a runtime of over 7 hours during Wi-Fi test. When playing films in HD, one battery charge lasts a good 3 hours
